Newton can prove if he’s worth a big payday
It had been speculated that when quarterback Tom Brady left New England there was a strong possibility that it would be a good landing spot for Cam Newton.
It never happened. And it never happened. And this week, it finally did.
But it didn’t happen without some criticism. After all, this is New England. Of course, somebody isn’t going to be happy.
In this instance it was 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman who felt that Newton was unfairly treated. Some in (and outside) the sports world feel it’s another example of how a black quarterback has been exploited by the league.
First of all, no one would sign Colin Kaepernick when he tried to shine a light on social injustice.
