Pick-6 as half ends boosts Beavers to 29-8 win at Hays

With Hays backed up against their goal line and time for one more play before halftime, the Scott City defense anticipated a “Hail Mary” pass.

Cornerback Marshall Faurot had a strong feeling it would be thrown in his direction.

The junior was right and he stepped in front of the underthrown pass at the 29 yard line. After that, he was able to work his way across the field as the SCHS defense began setting up a wall of blocks that allowed Faurot to get into the end zone untouched with no time left on the clock.
