SC boys are 3rd; Thomas wins gold

Led by a state championship performance from Jack Thomas, the Scott City boys finished third in the Class 3A state cross-country championship held Saturday at Rim Rock Farm.

It was the third time the Beavers have brought home a state trophy and their first since claiming a runner-up finish in 2012.

Thomas became the second SCHS individual champion in school history, joining former standout Trace Kendrick (2007).
