SCHS girls pounce on Ulysses early in GWAC rout

Even though the Scott Community High School girls had just two wins entering last Friday’s contest with Ulysses, they weren’t playing like a team in search of just their third win.

That was evident in how the Lady Beavers (3-12) pounced on Ulysses for 17 first quarter points and eventually pulled away for a 56-25 romp in Great West Activities Conference action.

“Offensively, I was so pleased with our patience and making that extra pass,” said head coach Amy Felker. “We emphasize that once the guards start having success then that will lead to good things happening in the post.”
