SCHS netters are rebuilding around a solid core of athletes

With a regional title under their belt from a year ago, along with some state experience, the Scott Community High School girl’s tennis team is hoping to build on that success this season.

The Lady Beavers return a doubles team that qualified for state and have a number of other players ready to assume varsity roles.

“Our depth will be better than I think some people expect it to be,” says head coach Corbin Janssen. “We have some girls who played JV at a high level last year and are going to compete well as varsity players.”

The team will be led by juniors Isabelle Myers and Sadie Hermosillo who qualified for the Class 3A state tournament while posting a 29-6 record.
