Loss of quarterback a fatal blow to WCHS state title hopes

In less than a three minute span, Wichita County saw their hopes of a berth in the 8 Man-DI state championship game fade away.

In that time, quarterback Kayde Rietzke saw his game and season end with a dislocated shoulder following a tackle at the one yard line.

After WCHS (10-2) was denied a touchdown on that possession, St. Francis (12-0) was able to seize the momentum with a 42 yard touchdown pass to end the first half and open up a three score lead.
