SC in regional rematch with Panthers

Two weeks ago the Beavers handed Concordia a decisive 31-0 defeat that propelled the Beavers into the No. 2 spot in district play and earned them home games in the first two rounds of the playoffs.

That win will hopefully pay dividends for Scott City this week when Concordia makes a return trip to Darner Field in regional action.

SCHS will look to take advantage of a road-weary Panther squad that also traveled to Hugoton last Friday and came away with a 43-18 win.

While Scott City has the benefit of being the host team, the Beavers are also trying to overcome the loss of players to injuries which has forced the coaching staff to slide younger players into backup roles.

Ironically, senior fullback Brandon Winderlin suffered a season-ending injury in the last game against Concordia and back-up Loren Faurot was injured late in the same game and has yet to return to the lineup.
