WCHS backs run wild in Trego romp
With two backs rushing for more than 100 yards, Wichita County (2-0) was able to make quick work of Trego County in a 50-0 win that ended at halftime because of the 45 point mercy rule.
Backup quarterback Tristen Porter, who spent most of the shortened game under center, along with senior runningback Jesse Gardner, accounted for 103 and 102 yards, respectively.
It was an impressive night for both Indians. Porter scored on touchdown runs of 4, 20 and 41 yards in just 11 carries. Gardner averaged 17 yards per carry and added an 18 yard scoring run.
