Youth movement for SC x-country

2 freshmen climb into all-time top 10

The Scott Community High School girls knew that if they were to make a return trip to state they would need a lot of help from underclassmen.

Those newcomers appear ready to do their part with two freshmen leading the team to a first place finish at the Goodland Invitational.

Emma Wheeler (20:25) collected a third place medal and Brinlie Stevens, running in her first-ever cross-country meet, finished sixth in 21:27.

Senior Megan Vance (21:42), who is coming off leg injuries that plagued her late last season, finished eighth, followed by teammates Kairae Berry (11th, 22:18), freshman Macy Brown (14th, 23:17) and Alivia Noll (23rd, 25:39).
