Turnovers have been a huge part of Wichita County High School’s quest for a state championship and their regional win over Atwood was no exception.

With less than a minute remaining in the first half and deep in their own territory following an interception, Dighton High School head coach Ken Simon could have easily let the clock run down with a 22-12 lead.

With Hoxie facing fourthand- inches at the Wichita County 32 yard line, WCHS came up with what may have been the biggest defensive stop of the game . . . maybe even the season to this point.
