As expected, the No. 1 seeded Scott Community High School girls won their Class 3A sub-state opener by a convincing 53-27 margin over Goodland.
Scott City’s sub-state opener on Monday was all about finding offensive rhythm.
The Scott Community High School boys couldn’t find it in the first half.
If it was up to Emily Smith, the outcome of last Friday’s game against Hugoton would never have been in doubt.
The clock has been ticking since the start of the season for Jarret Jurgens.
With 13 lead changes in the first three quarters, it was apparent that the winner in Friday’s game between Scott City and Ulysses would be the team that didn’t blink first.
