Healy Hoops raise over $2,100

Dana Shay will soon be wearing a new hair style around the hallways of the Healy school - or at least a new color.

Prior to the annual Kids Heart Challenge (formerly Hoops for Heart) the Healy physical education teacher told students if they could raise more than $2,000 she would dye her hair purple.

Students met that challenge by raising more than $2,150 and counting, which is a record amount for the local event. All proceeds go to the American Heart Association.
