Alexis Powelson, a spring graduate of Scott Community High School, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Wheatland Electric Cooperative.
Two area students are recipients of $500 scholarships from Kansas Farm Bureau to attend technical colleges next fall. Receiving scholarship assistance are Cordell Brown, Leoti, and Cody Pierce, Dighton.
Paige Vulgamore, a Scott City junior attending Kansas State University, is among 15 new members selected for the Blue Key Senior Honorary for the 2024-25 academic year.
Lake Wide Awake 4-H Club met on May 5 at the Shallow Water park. Club members cleaned up weeds, stickers, and trash at the Dearden Memorial in Shallow Water.
