Lake Wide Awake 4-H Club met on March 17 at the Wm. Carpenter 4-H Building. The meeting was called to order by Waylon Ricker. Pledges were led by Avery Radke.
TOPEKA - The Kansas Senate found compromise on legislation Monday setting ground rules for student enrollment counts tied to state appropriations that could serve interests of growing public school districts and support school districts with declining populations.
At David H. Hickman High School in Columbia, Mo., the rule is that students must keep their cellphones out of sight during class.
Eight Scott Community High School entrepreneurs shared $4,000 in cash awards for their trade show booths and presentations.
Josh Fulton, a junior at Scott Community High School, has been selected by Wheatland Electric Cooperative as a representative to attend the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour this summer in Washington, D.C.
