Education is “standing down” across the globe to slow the contagion of CO- VID-19. Many schools are shuttered. And despite the efforts of teachers in affluent countries using online education, there is a lot less learning going on.
While the impact of Covid-19 on the world’s health and economy can’t be understated, it’s not the biggest problem we face. It could reasonably be argued that Covid-19 is part of an even bigger virus . . . ignorance.
No one can say at this time whether the executive orders being issued by Gov. Laura Kelly are too extreme or have allowed Kansas to get ahead of the Covid-19 outbreak in our state.
Whether we like it or not, life around us is changing because of the coronavirus.
