Just when it appeared one hurdle had been cleared in efforts to transfer some City of Scott City employees to a different retirement plan, it has seemingly been replaced by another obstacle.
Scott County, in conjunction with the Scott County Development Committee, will be distributing another $250,000 in grants to local businesses who have suffered economic hardship resulting from COVID-19.
The cost keeps climbing on efforts to convert the former railroad line in Scott City to a walking/hiking/biking trail.
