After falling short in last year’s sub-state title game to the eventual state champions, the Dighton High School boys are bringing more than high expectations into the season.
While losing to the four-time defending state champions may take some of the sting out of another early exit from the state playoffs, it’s still evident that Scott Community High School still has a gap to close between the top tier of teams on the west side of the Class 3A bracket if they want to make a deep run into the post-season.
Dighton knew that their young linemen would face a huge test against a more experienced and bigger Victoria team during 8-Man-DII sectional playoff action on the home field last Friday.
