It was anything but pretty, but when the theme this time of the season is “just win and move on,” the Scott City girls found a way to do just that in their Class 4A sub-state opener against Norton.

It took awhile for the Scott City junior varsity to adjust to Cimarron’s zone defenses, but once they did they were able to pull away in the second half for a 39-28 season-ending win on the home floor.
