A steady wind of 20-25 miles per hours didn’t provide ideal conditions to open the track season, but that didn’t prevent some young Scott Community High School thinclads from setting some impressive personal records at Larned on Tuesday.

SCHS senior Logan Stoppel established a personal best in the hang clean with a lift of 235 pounds that earned him a gold medal at the Class 3A State Powerlifting Championship. (Record Photo)
