Twenty-three teams will be competing in the 40th annual Scott City Classic on Sat., Jan. 18, at the Scott Community Events Center. Wrestling action will begin at 9:30 a.m.
What started as a blowout win turned into anything but that for the Scott Community High School boys in a surprisingly tough 56-48 win over Ulysses in Great West Activities Conference action on Tuesday.
With returning state champions, state medalists and state-ranked wrestlers scattered throughout every weight division, there was going to be no easy path to a title at the J.R. Durham Invitational in Norton last weekend.
The Scott City boy’s wrestling team will be competing at the J.R. Durham Invitational on Saturday at Norton. First round action begins at 9:30 a.m.
Getting the lead hasn’t been a problem for the Scott Community High School girls this season.
