During a special meeting on Monday morning, the Scott County Commission voted to opt out of Gov. Laura Kelly’s executive order requiring school districts to have students, staff and visitors wear masks inside school attendance centers this fall.
When faced with no other alternative, distance learning filled the need as school districts had to quickly transition away from in-person instruction last spring.
